Study: Dysregulated Gene Expression May Occur in Bipolar and Depression!



In bipolar disorder a novel hypothesis regarding dysregulated genes is particularly intriguing, as bipolar disorder has a strong genetic basis. Moreover, changes of gene expression have been shown to be related to circadian and seasonal rhythms. Therefore, dysregulated gene expression may underlie the mood phases seen in bipolar disorder.
