It has recently been shown that CoQ10 improves cardiac function in heart failure patients. Several studies have determined that it improves mitochondrial function. A new study was done to determine whether it would be beneficial in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PAH). According to the results of the study, Coq10 improved right heart function in hypertensive patients while showing no effect in normal individuals. In addition, CoQ10 improved the hemoglobin content of red blood cells. The supplement was well tolerated and caused few side effects.
