Lowering Sodium Intake to 1800 mg Would Result In Noticeable Drop in Stroke and Heart Disease!

A new series of published studies set out to limit the amount of sodium in the diet. According to reports, a goal was set to limit participants of sodium to 1800 mg while the control group had no restrictions. According to the results of the study, study participants did not follow the restrictions 100 percent. Those that closely restricted their diet to 1800 mg showed a drop of both diastolic an systolic blood pressure by 5 points. The researchers explained that if everyone followed the same plan, the result would be a 5% drop in heart disease and a 14% drop in stroke.
