Diet Rich In Carotenoids May Slow Cellular Aging!

 
 
 
Increased level of blood carotenoids may slow cellular ageing, says a new study from Seoul National University in Korea. According to the study, doubling the  amount of carotenoids were associated with a 2% longer telomeres, the part of DNA that shortens as cells replicate and age. Carotenoids are found in foods such as oranges, carrots, pumpkin, and red and yellow peppers.

Beta-Carotenoids Linked to Lower Diabetes Risk!




High dietary intakes of alpha- and beta-carotene are associated with reduced type 2 diabetes risk in generally healthy adults, says data from the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition-Netherlands (EPIC-NL).
