Researchers Have Come Up With A Way To Combat Antibiotic Resistance!

"Scientists have developed a potential solution to the rising global antibiotic resistance crisis. It lies in rendering bacteria ineffective without killing them, which relieves the selective pressure that drives the growth of resistant strains." Read more...

Strain Of Probiotic Can Kill Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria!

"Infection with the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus can cause many health problems, including sepsis. Certain strains of this bacterium are resistant to antibiotics, so they are particularly dangerous. However, researchers discover that a probiotic bacterium can destroy this superbug." Read more...

Antibiotic Resistance: New Mechanisms and New Worries!

Growing levels of resistance to available antimicrobial medicines are causing tens of thousands of deaths each year across the world (1). By 2050, the overall costs associated with antimicrobial resistance (AMR) could reduce global gross domestic product (GDP) by 2 to 3.5% (2).

All You Want to Know About Antibiotic Resistance and Superbugs!

Resistance can actually be encoded in some bacteria and viruses, Gordon said, making it easier for the bacteria to multiply in the face of antibiotics. But other resistance stems results from a bacteria’s genetic mutation or acquired resistance from another bacteria species.
